Date you ordered and received the phone vs. "will ship by" date

I have mine charged to my account, so technically I'm not paying for it until my next billing cycle.....

I agree though...if I had to pay up front and then wait all this time, not sure I'd be cool with that...I'm bordering on not being cool with it as it is...
 
You guys should just cancel your orders and go into a Best Buy and get one.

I can't believe there are people out there who would pay $300 upfront and then wait a month to get a phone...not smart.

So, do you ever think that the people who are waiting do not have a Best Buy in their area? The nearest BB to me is 3 hours away, and NO WAY am I driving 6 hours round trip for a phone. Many BB did not have them in stock, that's why they ordered online, in store or via TeleSales. And btw, not everyone paid $300 up front. So congrats, your better then us peons still waiting.

Also you can't just cancel your order. You have to get the phone and refuse shipment. A lot of people don't have the money to put down on 2 phones.
 
I got the phone completely free, and the accessories because of the long wait. Wrap your mind around that.

FYI - I get the phone Tuesday.
 
I know FedEx doesn't actually deliver to locations on Saturday (unless extra is paid), but do the packages move at all on Saturday / Sunday? Like, do the trucks / planes still move shipments on the weekends, but only get delivered on weekdays? Or what? Anyone know?

Packages move on Saturday, but not Sunday. They usually don't move again until the wee hours of Monday morning (in this case, it's a holiday).
 
I live in Huntsville, AL.....

no email yet and i ordered it on the same day (at 9:00am, but i dont think that makes a difference) =(

maybe my email will come this afternoon? It's been a long time since i've been this excited over a phone. I think all these forums have really hyped it up for me.

I'm a 5/17 order also and live in Jackson, MS. Excited to see some shipping, so I don't mind waiting a few more days.

that would be me, if I had the extra money I would have drove 45 mins to get mine, but I have already been charged for the one I ordered on VZ website, back on the 26th so I will wait
 
Well, I'm just patient enough to wait. I'm not going to go through the trouble of buying the phone again when I already have one on the way. I don't need it that badly. Would it be nice to have my precious now? Of course, but it's not a dire situation.
 
I ordered in store on 5/16 and I don't think I ever got an order number. Guess I'll have to call Verizon CSR to get that.
We ordered in a store, too, and the only place I could find our order number was on the receipts. It's only a 6 digit number though that doesn't work in the "Order Status" page at Verizon's site.

Looks like you can only check Internet orders online - not phone or store orders. :(

first off its 200.00 not 300.00 and ave. wait time is 2 weeks not a month.!!!! also its just a phone dude its just a phone....
Im guessing your around 20-25 years of age and still cream your draws looking at panty adds in cosmopolitan.
 
Hey folks. I have a 5/28 order date at 3:53 pm. I received an email with the reference number. I checked it that day and it had no info. After reading this thread, I decided to check on vzw.com and it says:

"Order Status: Your order has been shipped. You can track your shipment at Global Homepage. Your tracking number is ."

But no tracking number is provided. Is that just a standard message? Or could my phones already be on their way? I checked fedex and tried my ref number but no joy. I am in Chicago if that matters. Finally left tmo and went on to play with the big boys. Got tired of waiting for a decent android phone to hit tmo. So I will be terminating my contracts as soon as our incs arrive. Wife and I are super excited.

Well I paid 149.00 and BB is 199.99 I was temped but figured I could use the extras $$ saved for accessories. I am temped though to bitch up storm and see if I can get some other droid to hold me over as a loaner. We should all start demanding loaners. :rolleyes:

Besides BB is already sold out again.

this is what my order status says above it going to michigan, but I was told it would ship until 16th:( I order from VZ website

Not a bad idea :) I live near a mile from a BB and about 15 miles from another. Both were sold out. I would've been all over them if they had a cpl in stock. Oh well.

Sorry to hear that dude. I hope we all get em soon. Kinda lame that our debit/credit cards were charged though huh? I sure do hope mine are really on the way.

me too, I know a lot of people never got any notifications about there phones shipping, you never know, it would be sweet :D but yeah it would have been nice my debit card would have charged when it shipped
 
AND BB does not do annual upgrades! I'm getting tired of people thinking everyone is in their particular situation. Think people!

I did annual upgrade (Primary line, over 80$ plan thing right?) at best buy this last Friday. I had been told I could not by forum goers tho in the past. So I never even tried previously.. but when I found out they had an Incredible I called with the intention of trying convince them into it, and all they did was punch in my number and say I was eligible for upgrade. So have people actually asked/attempted recently, maybe policy has changed?
 
That sucks. This will be my third phone coming. The original new one they sent was defective, then they sent me a refurb that had someone else info on it and had a busted speaker. So, yeah, don't bother with refurbs. I'm going to keep returning it until I get a good NEW one. It seems HTC & Verizon have a great design but poor quality control.

Man, I was feeling bad for my situation but you have it way worse than i do. I'm just hoping I get a good one first time around. They really do need to work on quality control. This is getting ridiculous.

I would at least call and talk to someone about compesation. After 4 different delivery dates and on EXTREMELY rude CSR, I ended up with a memory card, dual car charger and a case. Also got $100 off the price and $50 credit off my first months bill. After being with them for 10 years, I felt I deserved something for their ignorance. lol at least give it a shot and call, you never know.
 
Cutting in here again, but do in-store orders get shipping confirmation via the email set up with the online account?

Also, are the in-store orders overnight shipping or just standard? Never was told exactly what it'd be.
