What would be the best way to make that silver grille red like on the previous EVO's?

beat an iphone fanboy to death with it. Not condoning murder, but blood isn't an easy stain to remove, it'll stay red for a while.

well you could do it with a sharpie if u used a tech vacume to dry it and keep the fumes away
spray pay = no cause the actual liquid could make it to the speaker

I want to do the opposite. I want to change the camera lens and the area under the kickstand to silver......any takers?

OK, so I found one, but I'm wondering if Sprint is going to give me shit if I have to take the phone in for anything. Can they say anything if I have insurance? Also, does anyone have any experience with these? I'm wondering if the red will show through the silver.

And here's a link to the red one for those of you who want to paint the speaker:

**EDIT**Geez, just saw how much shipping is. I think I'll try an office supply store or an art store.

Sprint shouldn't say a word unless you're complaining about a silver mark across your lens *that you put there* for normal work where you'd get your phone back. For a phone replacement, they make take issue since your phone would likely get repaired and sold as a refurb.

The pens are opaque, and should work well. I have a couple of black ones coming to me. I had to order online since I wanted black, but I have seen a gold/silver combo pack in stores (OfficeMax or OfficeDepot, I always get those two mixed up).

Thanks! I ended up ordering one online for about $6 with shipping because I figured I might go to a store and they might not have it and I'll just save myself the hassle. Fingers crossed, nothing will happen to the phone in the 1 year that I will have it to have to worry about Sprint! ;)

Hey everyone, I got my paint marker in the mail today and went at my EVO with it. As you can see, I painted the camera ring, the kickstand housing, and the slot where you stick your fingernail in to take the back cover off.

Let me know what you think!
BTW, these pics were taken with my brother's EVO.

Little skitchy around the camera but looks REALLY good under the kickstand, overall the color adds a CLEAN look. Good job.

also need to hit that little bit of red on the other side underneath the kickstand, as seen in the 2nd to last pic.

Nice though

Thanks, yeah, I gotta figure out how to get in there without coloring the kickstand. And I'm gonna try to fix up the bumpiness.

I'm going to try to do similar except with red on the HTC on the back case, as well as that carbon fiber back mod on the other thread here. Hopefully the sample comes in soon. I'm just trying to figure out an easy way to cut out the HTC with a knife without making it look crappy on the case since the letters are so close together. :/

good luck!

On some of my past phones I have tried various ways to change the color of certain aspects of the phone, all with the same eventual result. As the added color ages, the original color will show through, looking tacky, and making you wish you had just left it in its original form.
