Is changing my Caller ID legal?
All of the services offered by Caller ID Faker are 100% legal throughout the U.S. and most other parts of the world. Of course it is against the law to change your caller id to commit a crime or to conduct any illegal activity (duh), and some states may require the consent of both parties in order to record a conversation, but it is perfectly legal to do everything we advertise. Masses of people—even law enforcement and government agencies - are using products like ours every day.

Every person I have called it works on. Hilarious. Best App I have used. Have buddies at work that just downloaded pranking their family members, its hilarious.
 
people in those links are talking about how google voice and skype and stuff might be affected.
there is a major difference between changing your callerID to misrepresent yourself (BB of the president) and changing a callerID to correctly represent yourself (google voice / skype / call centers ect.)
 
Bad! It's foreshadowing of the new law to come in which the government will regulate the internet.

I'm not sure if he meant PA as in the state of Pennsylvania, but thats what I would assume. YMMV is Your miles may vary (as in, it may or may not be the same situation as what he posted when you try)

I think its perfectly legally, however when you go overboard then it would be harassment, which would be grounds to file a police report/possibly charges.
 
we should totally put up audio clips of prank calls from this.

i would post them up but i used the person's full name in it acting as a bill collector and i dont want the full name online.

next time i will try and not give out so much personal info so i can post it up.
 
It's not communism it's fascism. That's when companies are nationalized like GM. The ID spoofing done by this company is the same as using a calling card. Calling cards are cheaper though. And really compared to the financial bill or healthcare this a drop in the bucket.
 
My buddy has this and used it on me a few times its pretty funny when you get a call from someone whose phone is off or they are sitting next to you and you are like whats going on lol

just bleep it out...i dont know how to bleep it out but if you could bleep it out it would be perfect
 
One thing that really bothers me about this application is if you call someone and tell it to use their number you can get right in to their voicemail. That sounds pretty illegal to me!
