Are you going to get the MT3G Slide and if so, are you going to be working on rooting it? I suppose a lot of people will be getting this, and the XDA people will probably have a section devoted to it, but I've always liked your work.

I am selling my BH2 tomorrow for $150 and am considering the Slide. If you end up getting it, it will probably make my decision easier.
 
So I'm almost positive that I'm picking mine up tomorrow! :D

Edit: T-Mobile pisses me off. So yesterday, the lady in Customer Loyalty told me that I'd be eligible for the lowest price in store, even though I signed a new contract to get my POS Behold2 just two months ago. Well apparently I cant get the $179.99 price because that's after a rebate, so I can only get the full discount before the rebate ($248). Fail.

Ugh... well maybe I'll get it. If I do, I have to tonight because they'll be sold out tomorrow.

Interesting. Are you planning on getting yours rooted soon?

I'm kind of digging this UI, so I don't think I'd want to put a custom ROM on the phone... but rooting would be nice just to remove some of the unnecessary apps. You'll have to keep me updated on your progress. Hopefully it's just as easy as the BH2 was. :D

Heck yea man... I'm loving it! I can't wait until someone figures out how to get live wallpapers to us, but other than that, I have zero complaints about this thing. It feels good to be sporting a supported phone. :cool:
 
Have any of you attempted to play a WMV movie on your slide yet? I loaded one that I made of my daughter, and it starts, but then it freezes. I'm wondering if it's just my phone, but I thought I'd ask you guys first.
 
Got mine yesterday too - Black with the body glove case. I love this thing! Smooth and fast. I am soooooo not missing my SS-BH2 right now!!

Where'd you get the Body Glove case? I can't find one. Or are you talking about the one that TMobile calls "body glove" that they sell in the store?

The phone itself wont play wmv. files but I downloaded a media player app that plays wmv. files called "yxflash" go to the app market and type it in the search option and you'll find it. to play the file just open yxflash and then search for your wmv. file and it should play fine.

Im not sure what the problem is then... sorry. I know that yxplayer plays mwv though. might wanna try downloading a different wmv video on your phone and see if it freezes as well.
 
Yeah I thought about getting that case, but the price tag seemed kind of high for me.

And regarding the video, I just converted it to an mpeg4 and it works fine, even with the regular player. Easy enough. :)
 
My name is Chad, and I am a former BH2 owner.

The slide is awesome. I got red, didn't want white to be confused with a fanboy or something. I would have been fine without the keyboard, but otherwise so far I love everything.
 
To be honest I don't use the keyboard at all. Never really liked them, but I'm sure I'll get used to it after I start using it more...I just like swype too much.

Same here. I've used the keyboard once just to try it... but this official version of Swype is pro. I doubt I'll ever use anything else.
 
So... this camera kinda sucks. :rolleyes: It takes decent pictures outside in good daylight, but inside, I've noticed that it's pretty terrible. Anyone else play with the camera much?
