how can I make incoming SMS more prominent?

Right now, incoming SMS only give me one buzz and no sort of on-screen notification. I'd like for the message to appear on the screen automatically when it arrives instead of having to go through 3, 4 clicks to read a new SMS. Is there an app for this or setting?

I don't want to do this... ugh...

Ok i will..

There's an App for that!! lol

=D

Don't remember what it's called... but i know there is one.

Also i think the "Beautiful Widgets" or something, are kinda like the Sense UI and will have a Homescreen view of Texts and quick way to reply

Heh!! thanks! Btw, I love the "There's a MAP for that" Verizon campaign.

SMS Popup is a pretty great app for that. Not only does it produce an onscreen popup of your text, but you can set vibrate to different setting.

Yes, I use SMS Popup and I'm very happy with it. I've had it for several months now and it make the text messages look similar to the i-phone when a new message comes in. Another thing I like about it is that it has notification reminders. So if an SMS comes in but you were away from your phone or didn't hear it... you can set it to repeat the notification every 5 minutes or something so you don't miss it. I have it remind me 3 times every 5 minutes. That usually does the job but isn't so much it gets annoying.
