Help Has anybody played with "Barnacle" Wifi tether?

Looks like a very neat (and free!) app. Requires root access, but that's not a huge deal.

I tried the unrevoked root, and ran barnacle. I have root, but it starts the wpa_supplicant and then gets the error: "Failed to set AP_SCAN".

Bummer...

Tried it after running unrevoked and get "Failed to set AP_SCAN. Process stopped unexpectedly".

Which tablet do you have?

I'm sure you can as these tethering apps for the Android OS work on just about any device. You just have to be rooted in order to use the app.

I would recommend heading over to the section for your tablet here on Android Forums and seeing about rooting it and asking others about using the tethering app if you'd like to use one. If your tablet isn't listed, go over there and there is a section for devices not listed.

Currently using Barnacle Wifi Tether on my Rooted Motorole (Superoneclick)

Did try the Wifi Tether for rooted phones but my laptop would not detect it.

This one is good, connected quickly and all good so far!
