Date you ordered and received the phone vs. "will ship by" date

Ordered 5/21 in-store in New York City, salesperson said phone would ship by 6/8
received shipping notice today (6/7)
2-day delivery to arrive 6/9
Fedex shows picked up today from West Chester, PA
 
FYI - For those of you who don't trust their neighbors (I don't), and work, and don't want to drive to a FedEx warehouse, FedEx WILL deliver to a FedEx Kinkos for pickup. I had two verizon CSRs tell me no, but when I called FedEx they said yes. The problem is that you have to have verizon change the shipping address (and they'll do it mid shipment) and verizon will try to charge you $10, but if you complain long enough they'll just do it for free.
 
WTF FedEx.

My phone was in the sort facility in Appleton, a mere 30 miles away from Green Bay at 6:00 am this morning. A simple 20 min drive. Instead of delivering it today, they chose not to and according to the tracking the reason is because "Package not due for delivery." Admittedly my package was estimated for delivery tomorrow but it was clearly ahead of schedule. Why would FedEx not deliver it ahead of schedule? Would that not just make customers happier. Makes no sense to me. So instead my phone will sit there for 24 hours and I get it tomorrow. :confused:

Also, I should note I ordered online at VZW and my store number for ref tracking is M681101, not the one that starts with a D that people mentioned earlier. Not sure if mines an exception to the rule or if there are other store #s for online orders.

Glad to see you got squared away. My wife and I love this phone. I shoulda moved to VW a loooooong time ago. Still no word from my initial VW order, payment hasnt been refunded, originally ordered 5/28

With my luck, either Verizon or FedEx would somehow mess up and I (or Verizon or FedEx) wouldn't have any idea where my phone went! Guess I just don't trust everyone to do their jobs right anymore because that sounds like a possible recipe for disaster to me. I must be getting old and paranoid. :p I am very glad I'm going to be home all day tomorrow when my DI arrives. :D

Where does this information come from? It seems most 5/20 and 5/21 have already shipped and 5/22 are beginning to ship. These dates seem for the most part to be 3 weeks, which is what they have been saying all along for the most part.

So, the date Verizon will most likely give you until yours ships with be 21 days.
 
Hopefully, we'll get 5/22 and 5/23 tomorrow. If so, there's a chance that my 5/24 will be shipped on Wednesday along with other 5/23 and 5/24 orders.
 
My 5/21 shows on fedex since 1:31 this afternoon but still no change. Just shipping info sent to fedex. What gives? still nothing from verizon!

Because of the way that their logistics work they will often sit packages for a day somewhere. If you want it overnight, they want you to pay for overnight, this is common with fedex. nothing personal. I have had things sit at UPS a mere 10 minutes away for 2-3 days for similar reasons.

Mine didn't match the tracking order, but if you follow the directions as stated, it works under the Alt Ref Tracking link. I highly suggest you also try your own as well.

Hmm...I am hoping for 6/18 if I'm lucky then...mine should come out of Ontario (am in LA)...ordered 5/28 late night, so 6/1 :(

I saw someone on the bus today with an Inc...I so wanted to rip it out of his hands and run.:p
