After hearing the one 5/20 say his "worst-case" date was 6/10 and it shipped on the 4th, I jumped for joy. Hopefully my 5/22 ships Tuesday or Wednesday, rather than Friday!

How long have amazon shipments been taking? My VZW shipment is scheduled for the 16th and if I can get it quicker and avoid sales tax with Amazon....

Oh, I didn't mean that there aren't other places it couldn't ship to OR from. I've seen quite a few people that live in the east saying their DI is shipped to Tennessee before it heads out to various locations. The same goes for those of us in the west, only ours seem to be mostly shipped to the FedEx World Service Center in Ontario, California before they're shipped out for delivery. Maybe they do originate in Canada! I haven't the foggiest idea.

FYI, to those who are expecting an email informing them their phone has shipped... I received NO EMAIL. I found my info at FedEx using my location code + my order number that was on my receipt.
I just called and she said the ship date for orders on 5/28 was still 6/18 to arrive 6/21 or 6/22
I asked if there was anything they could do to get me up on the list as I am sick of pulling my battery (BB) 4 times a day. She said she wishes she could help but there was nothing that could be done.
It is POSSIBLE that your location could have got a shipment and a low demand, but I doubt it. I would expect to get yours 6/16-6/22 (and mine too since I am a 5/28 order)

For me... Amazon shipping as free & fast (2nd day free shipping).
I ordered 6/1 (very late nite); received it last nite - been using it all day. Sweeeet!
Two day shipping is free so 2 days if they have them in stock, and you don't order over the weekend, and 1 day if you over night. (just like everybody) However I believe they sold out the last batch in 2 or 3 days. so if you see them in act fast. I ordered mine on Wednesday evening, it shipped Thursday and will be here Monday. The weekend got me.
Not that I'm trying to make myself feel any better (lol), but what you were told seems to reflect the "will ship by" date showing on the site at the time you ordered. Mine (ordered on 5/24) was 6/14. Doing the math on folks ordering ahead of me - about a 15 day lag - results in a projection of 6/8 or so, which is about a week ahead of the promised date. Until I see that 15 day window begin to expand, I'm still holding out reasonable hope of getting a shipment notification next week.

Regardless of whether you order online, through a store, or through customer service, your order goes into the same queue to be shipped when phones are available to ship from the local warehouse for your area. Keep in mind that it is not the time they start your order that determines the order date and time, it's the time they finalize payment on your order that determines your order date and time, so if you have someone place your order for you, make sure they finish it! Any credit checks or other delays also delay your place in line. Also make sure you ask for free overnight shipping. All the stores have a special code for it. If you order online use code FREEOVERNT.
One more thing. Remember that the date they give you is the latest planned date that your phone will "ship by", it is not a delivery date. If the current trend continues, your phone will ship a few days prior to the posted date. There's no guarantee to anything, but Verizon has been doing a good job meeting promises. Unfortunately, there are some employees that make up their own dates - don't believe them - the only official "ship by" date is the posted date.

Tell me about it, case and larger battery sitting in my lunchbox waiting for the second it arrives at work. I should have ordered a battery charger so my battery would be full up and ready for action. Cutting it close... Should ship by 6-15 (overnight AM) and I leave town 6-18 for 2 weeks (phone is
my planned gps as well!)
Hopefully I get lucky and it ships a couple days early.

I order mine Wednesday the 2nd and I had overnight shipping and I got my yesterday, but Amazon screwed up my service, so I had the phone for a whole day with out service until they got things straighten out, I finally got service around 1:00 pm today so everything is all well now,

When you ordered, did it say "Availability: Usually ships within 2 - 3 weeks." or something else?

Yep pretty lucky. I was on checking my status of my order later the same day I ordered and they had a counter going at he bottom of the screen and I watch the last 3 go in like 30 seconds.
The counter was like
"hurry and buy a Droid Incredible only 3 left" I refresh screen
"hurry and buy a Droid Incredible only2 left" I refresh screen
"hurry and buy a Droid Incredible only1 left" I refresh screen
"ships in to 1-3 weeks"
If they were really selling that fast they must have sold a boat load in two days.
5/21 also ... and not a peep ( no email or status update)
I somehow get the feeling it will be later next week rather
than sooner.
