I went in the the Sprint store and ordered my EVO and I was told it would be in Tuesday. Well, I got a call today and my salesperson told me it is on backorder and will hopefully be in by the end of the week :(.

Am I alone?
 
I was at the sprint store getting my contacts change over to my Evo, three customers came in while I was there and the sales rep told them 3-4 days.
 
i think mine probably got backordered, ordered on friday night, status still says waiting for processing
 
wow... that's the only reason I bought it when I saw the "last one" sitting in my local Radio Shack. I can foresee this being just like the HTC Incredible on a huge backorder...
 
Shouldn't be as bad as the the Inc, tft screens aren't as hard to come by as amoled and I'm sure the issue is they sold more than they truly expected. Just need to make some more and get them out there as opposed to having to wait for the screens to be produced (i.e. the Inc.). And as for the OP have you checked a local Sam's Club? They are cheaper and the local Sam's here had 9 left as of yesterday...
 
I have called every Sprint outlet in my area(Mid-Michigan) including Wal-Mart, Sams, Sears...ect and the soonest any one could tell me they would have any available is next week...But I suspect the person on the other end was just telling me that and didn't know for sure.
 
Hand in air. The guy at my Sprint store didn't even hazard a guess at an ETA, just took name and number and said he'd call.

Ordered from Wirefly Friday afternoon, customer service assures me I'm near the top of the list for when they receive their next shipment this week.
 
I ordered mine through the Sprint website on Saturday. It shipped overnight yesterday and will arrive today.

wirefly says that supposedly mine will be here by thursday... friday at the latest... i ordered it on friday... grrrrr
 
Ordered mine last night from the HTC site which I guess goes through letstalk.com or something. while chatting with support staff today trying to get some issues with my order resolved it was mentioned they were expecting them on the 19th and god do i hope thats not the case. I want this phone now dammit!
 
I put my name on the list at my local Best Buy. There are like 25 people in front of me. Best Buy is $199 + tax (no rebates). Sprint is $299 + tax - $100 Mail in Rebate. Best Buy is cheaper after tax and you don't have to worry about a silly MIR. Radio Shack has the same $199 price.
 
I just got back from RS. They told me it would be in by next Friday at the earliest.

I still have 1 months left on my contract with AT&T, but I couldn't wait any longer. I'll just pay the $60 bucks and be much happier than I ever was with this iPhone.
 
Ordered it from RS on Friday, 6/11. They said either Tuesday or Friday.

BTW, I drove around to 3 other Radio Shacks and tried to bribe the clerks with 50 bucks cash for one in the back reserved for someone else. No takers. Not even a 50 spot gets you to the top! lol.
 
I'm going to return mine today, if anyone at the store will ever answer the phone. Apparently you need an appointment to get in to see the almighty Sprint reps in Nashville.
So if you are in the Nashville area and want one of these battery hogs that wont stay in silent mode through a night, stop in the Rivergate store this afternoon.
