i gots a pear of Boze... to me they are the bees knees and elbows!!
(i think it helps that i didnt pay for them too)
Bose headphones are not bad headphones. The only problem with them is that you could get the quality of their $300 products in a $100 product from a REAL audiophile company like Sennheiser.
I can't hate on Bose too much because they don't produce overpriced crap, they just produce overpriced decent stuff. Now Skullcandy and Monster (the company that produced the Beats by Dre headphones) fall into the overpriced crap category. They're basically selling you a nice paint job. But then Monster as a whole is a company that sells overpriced crap...
I would like to try the Sennheiser headphones on the next go-around. Bose is so well-known, but definitely not the only ones putting out great sound.
I think your evaluation is much more truth-telling than the ones on here bashing Bose just because they won't spend $100 or more for headphones. Sure, there are some better headphones out there, but I haven't found any for less less money than a set of Bose. I've tried enough of the cheaper ones to know you get what you pay for with this stuff.
Yeah, but then I'd have to unplug them and plug them back in for a call.. Kind of something I'd rather avoid
If you haven't found any better headphones for less money than Bose ones, you aren't looking hard enough. Any respectable company that is dedicated to producing quality headphones will beat out Bose hands-down. You just can't go to Best Buy and look for it because all you'll find is crap and Bose. Go to somewhere like J&R.
Look into Audio-Technica, AKG, Beyerdyamic, Denon, Grado (my personal favorite, I will always advocate these headphones), Sennheiser, and Shure, among a few other decent companies. Their $100-150 offerings will beat out anything from Bose. I bet you haven't heard of quite a few of those companies, have you?
Also, while you will get better audio quality as you pay more and more, the returns diminish VERY quickly. I personally refuse to spend above $200 on headphones. Anything above that is just useless. My $80 Grado SR-80i's work perfectly for me right now and I see no reason to upgrade in the near future.
Wait, what do you mean? From what I can see, that product makes any headphones act like they have an in-line mic.

I just want something I can wear to listen to music to, but also make calls.. But isn't bluetooth. I've had a bad experince in that arena and would just rather go the old fashioned route.
I have listened to a pair of $100 Bose headphones (earbuds) and while good they did not vary much from my $50 UE's and those UE's are intro level ones. All the companies he spoke of above produce amazing headphones and will womp on Bose no doubt. I currently own 2 over the ear headphones(one sennheiser and one JVC) and both were cheaper and better than my friends $300 Bose ones.
seems like the endorphins are a good deal. $100 for a hard use/lifetime warranty set of earbuds are a winner in my book. my ear buds are always breaking over time so i think im going to try these out as well... thanks for the link! =]
the only question is will jaybird still be in business 5 10 20 30 years from now lol![]()
Klipsch Image S4i's...Can't beat the sound quality for the price, very highly rated. I love their rubber rips because they are conformed to ovals to fit better in ear.
BTW, Bose is bad....really bad. Please for the love of your pockets pass on them.
