HTC Droid Incredible Gets New Packaging

See a picture form the link above. Talked to VZW friend, no changes to the phone. His theory (nothing official) is that the change from HTC Incredible to Droid Incredible was made late in the game when the phones were already being packaged.

i understand the whole Droid branding, but i really don't like it.

I don't care what the box looks like I got mine on launch day and the white box is fine, all i care about is the phone not the box.

I got that a few times when i first got my phone and showed people thats what they asked me. I said it's better than the iphone.

I agree. VZW stated (if I recall correctly) when they launched the original Droid (Moto) that they intended to add other Droid branded phones. I was confused they didn't call the Ally and the Devour by the Droid trademark. I like it being the Droid Incredible. Though really doesn't matter to me what it's called. I LOVE my phone.

ACTUALLY I have 2 white droid incredible boxes that I will sale now, make me an offer! LOL Get em now before they are way more valuable, and one still has the UPC.

i have a feeling if they wrapped it in dry salami people would take it! I saw today it's been pushed back to July 12th for delivery....guess that gives them time to update the packaging!

I think part of the problem, marketing wise, is the name "Incredible." It's too much of a mouthful.

For example, how about the Droid Raptor. Much smoother off the tongue than the Droid Incredible. You could even get the HTC logo in there... "The Droid Raptor... by HTC."

Ultimately though... as others have stated... I don't care what they call it. This phone out and out rocks.

maybe it's just me, but i don't find it difficult to say "incredible". And, apparently the name isn't really an issue cause they're now on backorder for ANOTHER month

The whole droid campaign is kind of corny. The way they portray it is completely different from what you get. When i got my droid back in nov i expected some kind of dark OS I had no clue it was running Android until I got it. I was like whoa a cooler version of the g1...ahhh noob days..lol.

Hmmmm.... I wonder if the Re-Boxing is the REAL reason they are "back ordered".... Ordered mine on 6/3 and was told it will be late July now before it arrives....
