Can LauncherPro get any more awesome?

LP is amazing. I actually installed and uninstalled it a few times, but I did not know how to use it or anything. But after reading this thread I installed it and LOVE IT!!!!

I've been using it since right around the time it came out. and I'm stunned with each update. To be honest, I feel a bit like a kid at Christmas; I'm checking for updates even when I'm not notified and I'm hoping it's there with another if I have updates waiting for me.

I can't get the 3D drawer to work. I have it enabled but it still looks the same as the last version's drawer (non 3D).

Any ideas?

I'd love to have the camera and Handcent icons in the drawer AND have the Handcent icon show an unread count. Is that possible?

found an app on market, ultimate faves.
it is a carousel app to load your widgets, apps, or folders.
you can create your own unique carousels-games, settings, internet, bookmarks, etc. and save on different screens or put one carousel on main screen and fling up or down to scroll through different ones.
free version gives you two carousels. paid gives you unlimited.

only downside so far is that it will not let you take your contacts and create as carousel. (unless running 1.5 version)

well worth the $1.50.

Loving LP so far. Super smooth scrolling and maybe it's me, but my battery is lasting much longer-- I made sure to switch the Scene to Blank Slate to make sure none of Sense's widgets were running... I think Sense may be the reason why the Inc's battery is worse than the Nexus One's.

The 3D drawer is cool, but could use some aesthetic polishing, like not making the 3D area so "cut off."

Going to try.

It just got THIS much better : New update - grab it :)

I downloaded the update but I'm not seeing how you got your dock icons to be in color. I like the white icons but would prefer the colored ones. How'd you do it?
:confused::confused::confused:

How do you guys get the 3D drawer? I have the latest version but no luck.

Also posted on the dev's site but no response.

Click on hold on the icons down on the dock. After choosing which Application you want it will give you 3 choices for icons (Default icon, LauncherPro icons, or Custom icon). If you select the Default icon it will use the icons original colors.

Just wait until the "Scrollable Widgets" enhancement comes out. It will be coming out fairly soon from what I understand.

You'll be able to flick-scroll through your Pure Calendar and Pure Messenger List widgets (I don't know what other widgets will support it). It's going to be sweet.

LP is great. Just trying it out now. Will the LP mail and messages icon that I have on my homescreen show unread texts or emails? I know that Sense did that. I am just not sure if I am doing something wrong.

Thanks for your help.

Steve

I tried it for the first time and think it's much better than Helix. I thought Helix was pretty cool until I tried Launcher Pro. The difference is like going from 512mb of Ram to 4gb. The scroll in the App drawer is way smoother and faster. The screen transitions are much cooler and smother as well. Another advantage over Helix is the Home screen peek. This makes Helix looks like a starter version compared to Launcher Pro. Thanks for the push OP.

What version should I use? I got the (I think) 0.4.4 now but see the marketplace has 0.5.1

Is that the newer one?

Haha, not to be a jerk, but what kind of question is that? Of course it's the newer one. Is 2 more than 1? :)

But to answer your first question, you should use 5.1.

Now to answer my own question in this thread, I've found a way that it could be slightly more awesome. Scrolling is smooth, except when disabling elasticity. Seems like it has ever-so-slight hiccups there. But hey that's a new feature, so I'm sure he'll polish that up.

Yes. Not sure but I think the newer version adds the 3D app drawer. Once you download the newer version you have to go into settings to select the 3D drawer.

Yea I know I worded my question funny. I meant is the 5.1 reliable since someone else said they were getting bunch of f/c with it.

If you visit the developer's website you can read the changelog (they are between 2-5 points unless its a big revision).

I haven't had any F/C's with the version he just pushed
