Accessories Are we never getting a dock?

So why is that not a dock - it charges and connects to the pc via a usb cable and syncs data according to the description.

Traditionally the action of docking (placing the device in the dock) connects it to power and or syncs or triggers a dock mode. With this cradle you have to set the device into place and then manually plug the USB into it. Thats the only real difference.

So technically I guess it could be considered a dock but I would never buy this one when we know the official dock will be out soon. The official HTC dock is right in line with all the OEM ones I have purchased for previous devices such as the Moto Droid dock, and every previous BlackBerry dock I have had, PPC6600 dock etc.,all in one drop into place and your done.

too bad it's not compatible with a case. i expect seidio will make a similar cradle that will be compatible with or without the case, and also at the same or lower price point. that's how they've done with all their previous cradles.

it's too much of a pain to take the phone out of the case just to use the oem cradle and put it back on when done.

Exactly the reason why I hate cases. I use clips, and need a caseless dock.... actually, I need 3 of them.

What do you mean by clips? Is that the same as using a pouch?

Personally I think the incredible feels much better better in hand with a case (especially the slight weight/size increase), not to mention it's less likely to slip out of the hand and it protects the phone in the event of an inadvertent drop/fall.

Anyone know if the dock mode will have a decent sized clock? The current one isnt big enough for me to see the time without my glasses
