Root Ok to Update Wireless Tether in Market?

So finally rooted after all else failed (by the constantly inserting and removing sd card during abd reboot recovery method). Everything goin great. Wireless Tether is the greatest thing ever. My question is....

I see that Wireless Tether wants to update in the Marketplace. Is it ok to do this? or will it some how mess up the added .bin file that allows us Incredible users to use this great app?

Better safe then sorry and I thought I should ask the Android gurus who know way more than I.

Thanks,
TheIncredibleJ

what's the version on the update? My market app doesn't even see that I have wireless tether. I used the 10 minute root files and method and everything came "pre-packaged".

The version in the 10min package is 2.0.2 pre 14. The version on the marketplace is 2.0.2 (theory of evolution) which I assume is the final of version 2.0.2.

any advantage to having the app from the market compared to the one from the 10 min root? other than updates obviously

Yes exactly that.

I have 2.0.2 pre 14. The current version that marketplace wants me to update to is 2.0.2 (theory of evolution).

So I assume its safe to update to 2.0.2 (theory of evolution)?
