Date you ordered and received the phone vs. "will ship by" date

Here is an excellent example of an occasion in which any other word besides "****" would fall short of the mark. Nothing articulates that elusive cocktail of angst and rage quite like "****."

Also, a Google search of "****" and "Verizon" yields over 544,000 hits.

thats sucks dude yeah I stayed on top of verzion about cancelling my order and they did cancel it, and I got back my refund of 211.99 , last week:)

Well they didn't credit my account so now I have a small problem. Should I return the Amazon phone that cost me 50.00 more or return the VW that's 50.00 less? hmmmmmm

I think having a tracking number may be worst than having to wait for the phone to ship! Having to wait for the phone to ship means (or me, at least) checking every few hours. Having a tracking number means I spam the F5 key every couple of minutes, haha!

Hi everyone,

I'm a 5/29'er. Ordered in corp store in Clearwater, FL, shipping to central NC.

I'm a new VZW customer and not expecting a notification email, so I want to try the "fedex trick" of searching by reference. I have the instructions, but want to make sure I have the right numbers and syntax for searching.

Here's what the instruction post in this thread says to use in the reference field: LOCATIONCODE_ORDER#

Here's what I have from my receipt:
Order location: 73123-01 (not exactly sure if the -01 is actually part of the location number)
Order number: 166123

So, should my reference search be 73123-01_166123 ? Or some variant of same?

7312301_166123
73123_166123
7312301166123
73123166123

I've tried all of them to no avail, but, of course, that could just mean it hasn't shipped yet.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Oh, and those numbers above aren't valid (or at least they aren't mine), but they correctly illustrate for format of the actual location and order numbers I have.

Oh OH OH!!! I'm a wee bit excited!!!

So, since I never received shipping notification I just thought I would give FedEx a little call. Appaaaaaaarently there is something on a truck to be delivered to here by 3pm!!!!

I don't know that it's for me yet, or know where its from, or the tracking number (apparently FedEx Reps aren't allowed to give that info out) BUT... it's confirmed that SOMETHING is coming by three.

So, as they used to say on that old TV game show "Press Your Luck" - "Big DInc, big DInc, NO WHAMMIES!" (Did I get that quote right? Seems right to me. LOL).

I called them up three times while waiting and two customer serive people said they would text and call me when my package was being shipped. It was shipped yesterday without my knowledge and so I was unaware of putting the signiture at the door. Luckly I am able to go after work and just pick it up at the Facility. So to anyone who called vzw and got that same rant that they will text/call you becareful becuase they didn't call me. I only knew because fed ex couldnt find my address and wanted directions.

Good luck to all and you guys gave me hope for the past couple weeks, I thank you! Now only 8 more hours of work(maybe I should take tommorow off!) Lol
 
today is day 21 since i placed my order (on 5/25) and i havent received any notification of any kind. i ordered online through wirefly since it was 100 dollars cheaper after bing cashback and (supposedly) had faster shipping. i live near Boston, MA. if i dont hear anything soon today, im going to call them up. i have to make sure i dont wait until later in the day though because last time i called them in the evening i got people in india (i think) who hardly spoke any english at all and had no idea wtf i was talking about. seriously, no idea whatsoever. for example, i had first tried to order my droid over the phone. when relaying shipping information, they spelled my mothers name "Diane" as "Dian" and our street address as "xxx Blank St. D" wtf is "St. D?" then when i called to fix that, i got a different person, which i thought was a good thing. as i talked to them, however, i realized they had even less of an idea what they were doing. me "id like to fix the name and address on my order please" her "your order will be shipped in 24 hours thank you" me *facepalm*

did anyone else here order through wirefly.com and could you describe what the process was like for you?

Dude. You're working too hard. Just call them, ask for a rep, and ask them to search by your address as you don't know your tracking number. I did it and was able to find out there is a package to be delivered by 3pm.

It isn't detailed or super cool like tricking them... but it gets what you need. Their number is 1.800.463.3339. Took me a total of 3 minutes.

:( (*sigh*) I'm a 6/7'er here with at least two more weeks to go before shipment. I'm so glad for those who are finally getting their phones, and I'm completely envious! The next two weeks of waiting are going to be agonizing!

Ok - Update, fedex tracking says it's on the truck for delivery today by 3pm. FYI I was a 5/27 in store order and got my ship confirm this past Sunday. I am so excited I might pee!!! Everytime I hear a truck, I've run to the door LOL. I'll post once I get it too.

Otherwise Crap (can I call you Crap?) its location code_zeros+order#

That means....

location code goes first, followed by underscore and then enough zeros to make the order # 9 digits. Mine looked something like this....

0052201_000123456

But....it won't be of use to you (at least wasn't for me) until the shipping confirmation is processed by Verizon. So calling Verizon or FedEx is the better bet. I almost went insane with the damn reference code tracking bullshit.
 
Hey anybody get a 2-day shipping notice but end up with it delivered the next day? Mine is set for tomorrow delivery, but its only an hour away as of last night and I really wish the entire world would just do everything exactly as I wish it to be.
