City Id is Tarded! Please let devs know that.

you guys are going to hate me but i love City ID. can't live without it. I had it on my previous WM phone and said the same thing in the begining, "what is the sense of this". I use my phone for work and now can tell whos calling me because of City ID. I can now ignore more than I could in the past. Best app ever. love it!!!! sorry guys

I can't believe I came across this thread today, I spent a good amount of time last night trying to uninstall CityID. Glad to know I'm not just as big of an idiot as I suspected. We should be able to uninstall all applications that are not essential. Plus, who would actually pay for that?

(no offense Wedgemoose)

This app has it's appeal, but paying for it is just stupid. And the fact that I can't uninstall it just adds to it's idiocy.

The only thing I think is in bad taste is them including a app on the phone that is a premium app that they expect extra payment for.

I dont mind paying for apps and I don't mind having stuff installed on the phone, just don't make me pay for a app that comes pre installed. Its just a shady move

non taken at all!!!!! trust me i understand. I just happen to need it for work. If i ever get fired or a job where I don't use my cell phone for the job, I will then hate it also. but receiveing calls from all over the country it is a nice feature. But how many people are like me? a handful if that.

I'm on you guys side. you should be able to get rid of it

I think I'm in the minority with you wedgemoose. When I got my first call and it told me the location of the caller, I thought to myself "Yep, this truly is the best phone ever." Friends were pretty impressed too. But this begs a really good question (that I'm sure there is a logical technical answer to): Why is it that the Caller ID feature on my cell phone doesn't work just like Caller ID on a landline? Sure, identifying people in my contacts list is cool, but automatically identifying all callers seems more like what caller ID really should be. If someone wants to write a cool app for that and make it free I won't complain :D
