Root Noob here with an Eris 2.1 rooting question..

My phone isn't rooted yet but I want to do it. I upgraded from 1.5 to 2.1 via the system upgrade that Verizon ousted out to all Eris users a few weeks ago. Here are my questions:

Is OTA = over the air?
Is my 2.1 rom the one that is referred to as 2.1 OTA?
Is there a well documented procedure out there for rooting my version 2.1 rom phone?

Yes, yes, and follow the same instructions as if your phone had 1.5 - it is exactly the same procedure.
