Cancel my order for the Incredible and wait for Moto X instead?

I think the Droid X looks terrible. Even if it were smaller I don't care for the design with the top back sticking out further and those physical buttons. I simply wouldn't get it because of the screen size though. That phone is way too big. I can only hope that all phones aren't headed in this direction and there will still be some Incredible sized devices in the future.

I am in love with the large Droid X screen... and I imagine it has more physical space to house a higher capacity battery too.

I'll stick with the Incredible for now. I almost like the size of the X, but it's a tad too big. Evo was pushing it and the X is beyond that. It's not that it looks big, it's how it will actually feel in-hand. I played with an EVO and there was lots of thumb stretching going on. I think the size of the Incredible is just about perfect.

I also don't care for the physical buttons. They don't make any sense on a phone where everything else is touch based. I love the soft touch buttons on the Incredible.

Just not a fan of the overall design and execution. I think I'll wait for the next big thing before I jump ship.

perhaps bogus and irrelevant to you. Your opinion is fine for yourself. To me, on the other hand its easy to see that the droid x is the better phone.

easy to see?

i don't think u understand what I am trying to say. what i am saying is that the ONLY clear area where the moto x is better is the screen size.

Then the ONLY other area where the moto x is even different than the droid inc is build quality, htc vs motoblur, and processor, which are all debatable.

Reports are saying that the moto x is shipping with froyo which is an obvious advantage but the point to remember when comparing that benchmark someone posted vs the droid inc.

My point here is that you saying that the moto x is better, is complete preference. I wasn't calling your opinion bogus. I would only call your opinion bogus if you are denying that it is bogus to try to call one of the debatable categories a definite win for either phone.

The only phone on the market which is (still debatable) better than the htc droid inc is the htc evo which has 4g and a front facing camera. Only debatable by the preference of some people for a smaller phone.

...and HD video recording and HDMI output....

Actually, the reports all say 2.1. It's the people on forums who speculate 2.2 based on some screen shots and the fact that the Adobe CEO will be at the launch. Also, the X was running 2.1 in the benchmark.

^Yup

The Droid X is a lot more powerful than the Incredible:

See where it says Shadow MB810? That's the Droid X running Android 2.1.

Processor speed doesn't mean much. Most of the time that 1ghz snapdragon we have it just burning up more juice when it is running at full speed.

They should perform around the same. What the X does have is a 45nm processor compared to the 60nm snapdragon. Smaller means less energy used and less heat dissipated. Both of these will probably be noticeable.

The Inc has a 65nm processor.

Based on those things, how can someone say the Droid X is not better spec wise?

Just like how so many Inc. owners said the Inc was better than the Droid....spec wise....u cant have it both ways.

The Inc. will have a place in the market since its a normal sized phone. Just like with the EVO, the bigger screen on the X is gonna be an issue for some ppl. And if the X is running 2.1?? That will be one powerful phone....

And folks hating on Blur, its a newer version. Try it before condemning it.....The only issue may be updates being delayd, but since the Inc. has Sense UI, Inc owners shouldnt be making an issue with that.....

And if u dont think 45nm vs 65nm makes a difference...some info:
