Email addresses too long?

When emailing, I have friends who have work and home addresses that both start firstname.lastname@
The only way to tell the difference between them on the phone is to select one, and hope it's the right one, because the distinguishing bit is after the @, which is cut off on the phone due to length. Is there a more efficient way than just guessing and remembering the order they come in?

You should be able to swipe along the text field to see the last half of the email.

You can't in the gmail app. It only goes up and down, not left to right.

However, in landscape mode, it shows more of the address.
