Question about Wireless Tether

1st time post and need a little help.

I have the EVO and downloaded unrevoked and the newest Wifi Tether app 2.0.5.pre 2. It's working great:) But I have a question. I have seen screenshots of an EVO with a Wireless Tether were you can make changes to the Wireless Tether (change password, SSID etc. etc.). As of right now my wireless tether shows no encryption and the SSID is AndroidTether. I would like to change these but don't know how. I read that you have to have Froyo (I don't have Froyo) running to see Wireless Tether under Settings>Wireless & Networks. I don't have the Wireless Tether option. Is there a way to get that. Thanks for any help.
 
I am going to have to remember that. This is my 1st Android phone and it's Awesome. Love the open nature of Android. Thanks again for your help
 
I have used the same rooting method on my hero (v2.1) and I tried changing the SSID and setting encryption, but it won't change. The settings on the phone say it saved, and wireless tether restarts but both my laptop and my ipod touch still see the SSID as "AndroidTether" and no encryption.

Why are my settings not changing? :(

i had that problem on my hero but i could change my name...idk how to fix it tho
