For those interested, the 3500 mAh battery is now available for pre-order on Seidio. I personally ordered one already.

The replacement back cover isn't as horrifying as the 2150 back cover. At least I don't think so. Seidio's design added an additional plateau level to the graduated design, instead of having a giant box sticking out of it like the 2150.

I have always had great experiences with Seidio's products and customer service, despite what some other people here are saying, and I can't wait to be able to crank this phone up to 11 and last a whole day on 1 charge :)
 
You think so? I guess it's a matter of taste. I only really care about what the front of the phone looks like, though, so it doesn't really matter to me. If I wanted my phone to be pretty I'd get an iPhone with a hello kitty custom skin.

There's something about those multiple steps on the back cover. It's like a double hump.

It's rated by seidio at 3500, but I wonder what the true mAh rating is.

I'll report back once I get it running. Obviously not with an actual mAh rating, but with some test results.

I can't say it looks worse than the 2150, but I can't say it looks any better either. Nevertheless, I would get one if I could find a decent cover for it. <sigh> oh well.
 
The only reason why I might hold out on getting the 2150 and getting this one is simply because a customer sales rep told me they'll be developing cases for the the 3500. That said.. from the pics.. I am in the same boat as thinking it looks even worse than the 2150... its those tiers that make it look bad. This is where I think they should have just broken the original design and went for a smooth back. Perhaps when Seidio creates a case for it, it'll hide those humps.

However, the cost of both said items (speculating atleast $100) is a huge turn off. The more I see Seidio stuff, the more it seems like they overprice their stuff a tad.. not to mention a few forum members already reporting Seidio lying about the mAh rating on their batteries.
 
We have been able to Move up the shipping date for 3500 mah battery. The shipping for this batetry began today (6/22)

I'm not really concerned what the back of the phone looks like, I'm just accepting the extra thickness in exchange for all-day battery life. I preordered and got my shipping notification today, I'll report back after I run it from full to empty the first time :)

Also, I have the Seidio belt holster that's designed for the Moto Droid with Extended Battery, and it has plenty of extra space for the incredible with the extended battery.

that looks freaking hideous, i don't see how you think it's better than the 2150 cover...i guess you had to justify it somehow to yourself. ;D

(I bet two of their 1750 batteries are in there)
2. Who's willing to send theirs to me for testing...

Seidio's 3200mAh battery was actually 2600, so why would their 3500 actually be 3500? I don't think anyone actually believes that it is really 3500. That said, it probably still has more capacity than the 2150. The real question in my mind is if the battery will last as long as a name brand one. There's no shortage of reports of Seidio battery users saying the battery's capacity degrades extremely quickly over a couple months.

I would love for someone to do a comparison of battery capacity between the 2150 and 3500 as soon as possible. Then do it again in 6 months, then again in another 6 months and see where they are at. It would be best if both batteries were used as evenly as possible.
 
I'm just happy I'll be able to get through an entire day on one charge with all the media streaming/emulator playing I want. I won't be thrilled if testing determines it's 3000 mAh, or some other rating below 3500 mAh, but I'll live with it.

Although, I'm honestly surprised people think it looks worse than the 2150.
