Red LED Light?

What does it mean when this is flashing? Just that my battery is low?

Red = low battery

There are other colors but I'm not sure how to get them to work aside from other apps. Also, should it still be blinking red if it's plugged in?

it might take a few minutes seeing as your battery still could be significantly low...until it passes whatever threshold there is to determine low battery

Yeah, from what I can tell app notifications are purple-ish.
