Date you ordered and received the phone vs. "will ship by" date

I haven't read this thread in a while, but I had the EXACT same thing as you happen to me.

I had checked mine a few days after my orginal order and the store found it. But June 3 it was mysteriously "gone." It had gotten cancelled due to inactivity about a week after I'd checked on it. :mad:

Oh well . . . it's gonna be here soon! :cool: It better be worth it! :)

thanks i will be kicking the door down when i here the door bell ring and i will give this Blackberry storm to the fedex guy with 5 dollers and say throw it out of the side of the van when you are driving back to the warehouse when you are doing 65 down the highway i do not want to see this thing ever again!!!!
 
Just so you all are aware, Verizon is handling this very badly. I called them to cancel my Incredible order because I am going to be getting the Droid X instead. I ordered on 6/16, expected shipment 7/16. They told me I have to wait until the Incredible gets here, deny it, and have it sent back before I can pre order the Droid X, delaying those who have ordered it after me.

Horrible way to treat people who want to cancel their order.

FYI my order was voided @ some point for some reason. I was not told, just moved to the back of the line. 'cept no one told me. In fact, every one I talked to confirmed my 6/22 ship date (I know, I know CSRs know NOTHING. And its true.) AND two of the four were not reordered. I'm getting MINE, but I'm going to have some ANGRY people @ my house. To be continued...

On a positive not, the CSR I talked to yesterday and today was THE BOMB. Basically, she tracked down my order and bumped it because I was told it would ship the 22nd and NOT told it was voided/pushed back. She followed through with my issue and solved a portion of it atleast. And really, she could have said "sorry it will ship next week." Now, someone else will have to solve the rest :)

Good luck guys. I hope it worth it...I'll let you know Saturday...
 
I called CSR to check on my phone. She says still not shipped.
Was supposed to be shipped today.
Also said my email was not on the order so I will not get an email as to shipment.
It seems I will have to call every day to see if and when it ships and get my FedEx tracking number.
The wait agonizing and painful.
 
Help me make an effort to standardize this thread. I recommend everyone list the following when they start posting here.

Shipping Confirmation Email Date: Haven't received it yet.
Date DiNC was Received: Nope, that hasn't happened yet either.

Spoke to Customer Service Rep: Yes, on the phone, via live chat, and via email. All assured me both phones would ship on or before 6/28. Received email listing order details including Location Number and Order Number.

Other Helpful Information:

Learned that if you order your phone via verizon.com the order number within the emailed invoice you first receive (the order number you can track on Check Your Status - Verizon Wireless) isn't your ACTUAL order number. You must call or email verizon to get the real number.

Also, the "fedex trick" (that still hasn't worked for me) supposedly works as follows:
1) Go to Fedex - Track by Reference Number - https://www.fedex.com/AltRefTracking?cntry_code=us
2) You'll notice a form with the fields: Account no, Enter reference, Ship date, etc..
3) Fill out the fields as follows
  • Account no: (blank)
  • Reference: This is your Location Code and ACTUAL Order Number (not the first one given to you on your online invoice, email or call verizon for these) together seperating them with an underscore making sure your order number is 9 digits long (if it is not you must add leading zeros to make it 9 digits).
    Example: If your Location Code is: M897425 and your Order Number is: 3698548, your Reference Number would be M897425_003698548​
  • Destination country: Obvious.
  • Destination postal code: Obvious.

4) Cross your fingers and click Track!

So this is my first post but I have been reading this day and night for about a week now. I guess the Verizon Gods Love me because I ordered it over the phone on 6.11 with an estimated ship date of july 9th but I got my email notice yesterday and it went out today and will be here tomorrow 15 days early tracked through fed ex and all I'm in upstate new york I dont know how it happened but i like it I hope the rest of you get your phones asap I CANT WAITTT

my first post here.. so go easy on me guys = P
ordered the phone on june 1st... est. ship date 22nd.. called CSR about 5 times in past 3 days... only to infrom me that they have no clue when it is being shipped out... after bickering, and showing signs of frustration, CSR got back to me with tracking number and email confirmation of Dinc being shipped out as of 3pm EST today. For some reason i didn't get the next day shipping but, quite happy that i would be seeing this phone by friday. Location:NYC
