Help Small yellow band on screen

I've noticed a small, vertical yellow rectangle ( 1cm x .3cm) in the upper left corner which is only visible on very light or white backgrounds. I've had the phone for about 6 weeks, and am fairly positive it wasn't there originally. Has anyone seen or heard about this?

Help Radio bands supported on International model (US)

I'm trying to ascertain exactly which bands my factory unlocked M8 supports, specifically with AT&T, in order to figure out why my LTE speeds are so low. Here are the original specs (it's s/off & SuperCID now): product: m8_ul_ca platform: hTCBmsm8974 modelid: 0P6B12000 cidnum: BS_US001 I can...

Reading Google books in Amazon Kindle

Apparently Play Books doesn't use epub format with paid books, so is there any way to convert and open them in Kindle? I know the files are kept in the system partition, but I was hoping there was a program or trick to do this.

    Help LED Control?

Has anyone gotten the LED control to work on a N10? I thought I could replace Light Flow with it, but maybe not.

    Play Store updates

I do all of my updates manually because I like to see the details of the new versions. With my phone this works fine, but with the N10 all that shows are the permissions. There doesn't appear to be anything in Play's settings to control this. Or am I missing something?

Help "PH39img.zip not found or missing" -- is this a problem?

I've been Googling about this error and I'm inferring that I'm don't need to worry, but I'd like some confirmation from the experts. A brief summary: I used Hasoon2000's kit to unlock and root my Vivid (flashed the WCX recovery). That went fine. Now I'd like to experiment with custom ROMs, so...

    Setting wallpaper

What's the proper way to set wallpaper so that max resolution is used? I've downloaded some great 2560x1600 images, but no matter if i use Gallery, QuickPic, my file explorer or the wallpaper option in Settings, I end up with a cropped & zoomed image that defeats the purpose of having a high...

Root Tricking apps into thinking you're unrooted

Time Warner Cable has an app that lets its customers stream content if they're on their home LAN. Trouble is it won't work if it detects that the device is rooted. Is there any way to spoof it to make it think I the device is not rooted ? An app, maybe? It would be sweet to be able to watch...

    USB/OTG adapter recommendation

I need to get one but before I do I'd like to make sure it'll work with N10 (4.2.2) using StickMount. Any suggestions?

    Turning wifi off during sleep

Has anyone done any testing to see if turning wifi off during sleep makes any appreciable difference with regards to battery life? I'd still like it to check for email so I'm wondering if I should just enable it all the time or let Juice Defender handle wifi.

Help Calendar sync doesn't import appointments - SOLVED

I have Calendar sync enabled and it shows that it syncs, but nothing gets imported. I have only one Google calendar and sync works on my HTC Vivid. I can't figure this out. Am I missing a setting somewhere? Later: okay, never mind, I got it sorted. I had to delete my Google account and add it...

    Root Google Now for ICS

I rooted my phone yesterday using Hansoon2000's kit (WCX recovery + stock ICS). I found a thread at XDA for ARM7 devices, which I assume the Vivid is since the Raider is. The guide states that CVM should be installed as the recovery. Will I run into problems with WCX? If so, can I run the kit...

Help Changing keyboards on the fly

Is there a way to change the keyboard on a per use basis without having to go into settings and change the default? I like to use Swype when it's easier to type one handed, and SwiftKey other times. Edit: Found it, on the notification pull down page.

    Voice Actions with ICS

Is anyone with a Vivid running ICS able to get Voice Actions to work properly? It handles "Map of" & "Go To" pretty well, but Email, Text and Call functions just flat out don't work -- Email and Text put the contact name into the message body itself leaving the To: field blank, and Call just...
