Anyone try rooting yet?

I'm taking a look at what has been using my battery in my rooted cm7 backside rom/greenmachine theme and i get this: Cell standby 48% Phone idle 45% weatherbug 4% display 4%. Is there anything i can do to reduce cell standby or phone idle?

Ok, thanks to all the folks here, i have rooted, installed busybox, installed rom manager, backedup my current stock rom, now what? What rom should I install? Stability, speed, are all i'm really looking for. Not that its a slow phone, its great.

What are some good options for lockscreen additions, ie, sms, email, missed calls, twitter, facebook? What can we do.

Mine has CM7 on it.....today, it says battery is dead and to wait 15min and try turnining on again after charging..........its been on the charger all day.........anyone else hear of this? Am i 'hosed' ?

hi, trying to setup microsoft exchange on this phone for my boss and she keeps getting the 'our server requires security features your phone doesn't support' message.......anyone had this issue and know if there is anything that can be done? It sounds like its the phone.

i bought one of these to play with. I am a droid x owner. For around $20/month, i wanted to try it out to see how the service is in the outskirts of chicago and just have a backup phone. I'm not expecting it to perform like the X but its going to be a fun toy.
