Yesterday I had a groups tab on the contacts screen (or some way to select a group). Today its gone. Did I mess up a setting somewhere?

I have a number of contacts with more than one phone number. When I attempt to call one of these contacts I don't appear to be given a choice as to which number. The manual doesn't seem to help. I'm new to android. My old feature phones all did this without any problem.
