I'm out of the US this week and want to be able to use sms message using the free wifi at the hotel. So, I set to Airplane mode to avoid any possible roaming charges and enabled wifi. But, my Chomp SMS does not seem to be working. Are there other settings? Thanks!

You know the phone automatically thinks a number string is a phone number and makes it clickable or a similar action with strings it thinks is a URL. How can I turn that off, or deselect it for specific instances? Thanks
