hi yall, I am thinking of getting an Eris from someoneand using it without Verzion network. can it use WiFi or I have to activate eris in order to add verzion data plan ?

I called tmobile customer service and asked about Samsung Vibrant full retail price/discount price but they said they don't know anything about the Vibrant and I have to call back in two weeks for more infomation :confused:
