I'm afraid of ruining my battery on m 2013 N7 by overcharging it. What's the best practice for keeping my battery working great?

Is it important to discharge the battery all the way before charging? I don't want it to die in a place that isn't conductive, but I don't want to ruin a non-replacabe battery.
