Recently upgraded from SGS 3 to SGS5. Have noted that there is a severe difference in the Optus network reception between the two phones. I have noticed this around Newcastle where my signal on the SGS5 is either non existent or very poor.
An example of poor reception that I have experienced
Just a sms question. When message received phone shows date and time received. Is there anyway to ascertain when the message was actually sent. I am out of signal range often and would like to know if a message is a few days old as the action I would take could be different.
Have had my SGS3 since its release last year and my only real problem is that it does not say the senders name when a SMS is received but does announce the callers name when a call is received. Upgraded from SGS1 which without any additional app did announce SMS sender.
Did phone Samsung...
Anyone know how I get my SGS3 to announce the sender of an SMS (provided they are in contacts) when an SMS is received. Mine does not do this and yes I have Driving Mode on.
My SGS1 did this "out of the box" so I am amazed the SGS3 does not do this.
Would like to know who the message is from...
I have spend time searching the internet to find answers to my question but to no avail. Also I have found the User Manual supplied to be of little use and the one on the Samsung web site is identical to the one supplied with the phone and contains no additional info.
Can anyone advise me how...
Anyone experiencing trouble with this. When I say a contacts name the options given are way out. Also I thought the voice dialling feature would say back what it thought you said.
I am very new to "Smartphones" and have just gotten a Samsung Galaxy S. Wondering if someone can advise me how do I turn off an application when I start it. For example if I start ThinkFree Office there is no option that I can find to turn it off.
Many thanks.
