Accessories Gear VR question

A question for any of you who are upgrading or contemplating an upgrade to the Note 10+ who also own a Gear VR headset.

How are you handling the fact that the N10+ won't work with the Gear VR? Are you opting to keep, rather than trade in, your existing smartphone in order to continue using your Gear VR or are you choosing to give up using it?

Just curious.

Samsung gave up on it. Lackluster sales. I had the VR back with the note 8 and used it once to test. It’s sat in its carry case that i bought for it ever since.

Hard core VR users will already know this and not bother with getting the phone.

I got mine free with my S7 and S7 Edges.

I enjoyed using it, but not having to keep taking the phone out of it's case to do so.

As for VR - I would be more inclined to get the full Oculus Rift for my PC if I had the time

If one likes using their VR, wants a Note10+, and is willing to give up trade-in promotions, why not keep their Note8? I don't think the VR needs a cellular connection to keep s/w updated. Just a thought, though it would be nice to see what the awesome new screen looks like in VR! -Redeye

i also have the gear vr.......some place. i actual like the occulus go better. it does not over heat like it does with any phone i have put in the gear vr. plus it does not use up my battery on my phone.

i'm thinking of getting the occulus quest as well....maybe for xmas or something

Great idea. I was considering this myself.
