Mike Tyson vs Jake Paul Netflix 2024

I moved your thread here because the MLB is already the catch all sports forum. The NFL is just NFL. I hope some day to clean up the MLB but need a forum to put everything.

I'll miss the fight but I bet it's entertaining.

Heck no.. the redirect might well prove beneficial. The last time I saw Mike fight, I paid for the viewing and had all of my sons friends over to watch. Mike took a hunk out of Buster Douglas' ear. It was a crazy fight. I've been bit before during a fight. Desperate times brings desperate measures. I bet Mike schools the young upstart. If I had a Netflix account, I'd be watching.

You get a free week with Netflix. We are thinking of watching it then following up with Hillbilly Elegy, then cancelling Netflix. Too woke.

Like I guess I'll watch it, since it doesn't cost any extra, but something about a 20 year old fighting a 50 year old doesn't quite get the blood flowing if you know what I mean. And just 2 months ago Tyson was in the hospital for a bleeding ulcer and apparently he was "dedicating tar" is what he said. I remember being in high school & college during Tyson prime days and this fight just doesn't have the same feel to it.

It will be interesting to see how much gas he has in the tank. I thought I was a lean mean machine at 50 but I was wise enough not to test that. :) I'm betting someone would have proved me wrong. Mike was a specimen when in his twenties!

so far you can tell, this is Netflix's first live sporting event. the interviews seemed awkward at times. there were a few minor technical issues. i had to pause the luive event so that i change my work clothes and get some food. the 1st few cards were ok. not sure though on that first one. Goyat vs Nunes. that Goyat was too much of a showoff. not sure wtf was that grab and dry humping from Goyat. he should have had a point deducted for that.

as far as the quality of streaming.....so far it has been top notch.

can't wait for the main event.

Tyson was doing more dancing than punching and was just trying to get thru it. You could tell Paul was definitely not giving it his all. Didn't want Mike to end his career that way. Clearly a staged payday for everyone involved. To call this boxing is an insult to the sport

canelo vs jake paul might be a better fight.

i think the best fight of the night was Mario Barrios vs Abel Ramos. it came down to a draw. both guys had great rounds.

the woman's fight was not as bad as well. Katie Taylor vs Amanda Serrano. i do disagree with the score though. i thought Serrano won that fight, but they ultimately gave it to the reigning champ Katie Taylor. Serrano had a nasty head butt from Taylor. Taylor kept leading with her head and had a point taken away from another head butt.

looks like there were streaming issues
