now the felon changes course again.......what an idiot. so looks like tariffs for Canada and Mexico are off until april 2nd.....who knows what the moron will do then. this reversal is making him look weak and stupid. President Claudia Sheinbaum of Mexico even claimed success over the felon. the felon is making us look like fools right now.

so i guess for now prices will stay the same. when is the felon gonna work on bringing prices down? he needs to stop tearing up our government, and work to help the people who voted for him!!!!

Some tariffs are delayed, due to special requests from the auto industry, etc. Here's your article: https://www.cnn.com/2025/03/06/economy/tariffs-delay-mexico-canada/index.html

so the felon in chief's crusade of deporting illegal immigrants is going to cause food prices to go up. you guys bitched and moaned about Biden's economy and how groceries prices were too high. well now you guys get to reap what you sowed.

it has been reported that citrus workers in Ca have not reported for work for fear of being deported.

over 80% over the nations citrus comes from Ca! so i don't want to hear folks here bitching about their groceries....or the economy for that matter.....as things get worse!!!!!

Would you like some cheese with that wine ?

"What has been the biggest driver of cost to the medical system," Gallagher said. "It's been adding illegal immigrants to those rolls."

Roughly 1.6 million immigrants without legal status are enrolled in Medi-Cal, according to state data.

California will need to borrow $3.44 billion to close a budget gap in the state’s Medicaid program, Newsom administration officials told lawmakers Wednesday
That’s the maximum amount California can borrow, and will only be enough to cover bills for Medi-Cal — the state’s Medicaid program — through the end of the month

One year of this = forty-one billion two hundred eighty million/$41,280,000,000

If it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, and looks like a duck ....

why are you talking about ducks?

plus if you look at the numbers everything went up after the pandemic. it is not just immigrants that can be blamed. we had more enrollment when during the pandemic more people had their federal income eligibility checks were suspended during covid. before the pandemic there was 13 million enrolled and that number peaked at 15.6 million in 2023. we are also getting older. the past 4 years there is a 40% increase in senior enrollment as well.....these are all from your article you posted.

so immigrants are not the only ones to blame in Ca health care price increase. and it is obvious that republicans will only point to immigrants that are at fault and ignore the rest. there are a lot of moving parts here in Ca, but i do not think that illegal immigrants are the sole problem.

now that winter is over and the growing season is about to start, who is going to pick your food out in the empty fields?

The state’s Medi-Cal expansion for undocumented immigrants costs about $8.5 billion from the state general fund annually, according to a recent budget hearing.

“If we weren’t spending eight-and-a-half billion dollars on illegal immigrants, we wouldn’t need to borrow $3.4 billion to cover the difference,” Jones said.

Quack Quack !
