Project Hail Mary

i have read it and and it is fantastic. i did not know they were making a movie out of it. to be honest you can't go wrong with any of Andy Weir's books. i have read all of his books. my favorite is still his 1st novel, "The Martian". i love the whole story behind it. he posted sections of his book as a blog post on his website. soon scientists, current and former astronauts, and physicists all started following his blog posts and chimed in on plausibility. and in the end everyone agreed that what has become the book, "The Martian", is scientifically possible.

if you like sci-fi books, his other book, "Artemis", is also a fantastic read.

I appreciate the up vote. I'll give both a read

Having seen and greatly enjoyed "The Martian" I read that (also by Andy Weir), and greatly enjoyed it as well.
I'm currently on the waiting list (it's pretty long) at the library for "Project Hail Mary;" I kind of have an agreement with my wife that neither of us will buy another book until we cull the gargantuan collection we already have. Since that task it too insurmountable, we just borrow from the library for now. I did read a PHM excerpt that really drew me into it.

That said I am currently reading the commendable "Hidden Figures" by Margot Lee Shetterly. It goes so much deeper than the movie and has thus far really appalled me at the deplorable way folks of color were treated back then. It's so much more systemic than what is depicted in the movie. And yes, I borrowed it from the library.

BTW, if you don't mind reading on a screen, Hoopla will use your local library card to link you with card catalogs across the US, so even if your local branch doesn't have the ebook, you can still "check it out" from another library across the state or across the country. And it's free, too. :)

I don't know if this is a good time or not.
But I did enjoy the read.
