WHAT IS IT WITH THE MOTO G STYLUS?!

I just had another go bad. It was more or less ok earlier and about 1 hour ago it started having a seizure. It hasn't stopped yet. This was about the most expensive I've had, around $130. I mentioned that it seemed to drain somewhat fast and that it got unreasonably hot without being put through its paces. Also, I've been having trouble with DuckDuckGo. It's mainly a particular website but it's been slow on others, requiring frequent reloads, etc. What am I supposed to do with this hunk of junk? Can I get it to behave normally, at least long enough to transfer as much as possible to sd card (1tb)? I am typing this with the Blu, which is supposedly the inferior phone, ha!

No, I haven't. If it happened to be brand new with no data I might risk it. I've had it for maybe a couple months and it's almost 30% full. The 1 tb sd is still almost 50% empty. If I could dump to a computer I would but unfortunately that's not an option...

Turn off all mobile data that is running the apps, go to in each app. Underneath mobile and wifi settings, and toggle it off that will really save it

from overheating.

I can't do that. It's stuck in a bootloop. If I used volume down + power, would that snap it out of it without destroying any data? I'm limited to what I can do with side keys, aoparently.

You do have everything backed up right, is there another device of where you can plug and connect without, have to wait forever to get your apps back?

Yes, I got lucky. I held volume + power for a bit and it showed the fastboot menu. I didn't see the safe option and therefore went with start. It booted up whereupon I checked for damage and found none. However, the phone got stuck in that short bootloop again, more than once, and it was down to no more than 14%. It seems to be ok now, but who knows when it may strike again...

this sounds serious. you really need to do a factory reset. this will answer if this is a software issue or not. my guess is that this is a hardware issue. but, the only way to know for sure is if you do the reset.

Yeah do a factory reset, just basically click on the android and it will say "Erase all data?" volume down and say yes, second menu is "are you sure?" "press yes."
