There is something about resetting nine clocks in my house that never sits well with me. My body takes a few weeks to self adjust. I dislike daylight saving time.
It's pretty sad that our U.S. Congress is so impotent that it can't pass something as simple as eliminating Daylight Saving Time (which was an idea cooked up by Dr. Benjamin Franklin - as an emissary to France, he published an essay on the economy of candlelight... as a JOKE! Leave it to some bureaucratic numbskull to take it seriously and turn it into national policy).

My normal wake up time is 5 am -which is now 4 am.
I have been having sleeping issues and many mornings awake @ 4 am -which is now 3 am.

I always said if the world needed to do things earlier, just get up earlier. If you wanted an extra hour after work, change your work time from 9-5 to 8-4.
Being self employed all of my life and now retired, I totally agree with your take on DST. If not for being in step with the rest of the working class, I would have never considered changing the time. It's ignorant.

I agree. I was always at my jobsite ready to work at eight am. For many years, when I had the work, I was on that jobsite seven days a week. I wasn't trying to impress, I was trying to survive.

I always sneak in at my side job at eight thirty a.m., even though I usually clock in at ten, give me enough time to write without much mental pressure
