What license? As for the file, is it larger than 4GB, e.g. a HD video? If so, you'll have to format the SD as exFAT, as FAT32 can't store files larger than 4GB.

You can get SD adapter dongles for the iPhone that will allow you to copy pictures over. Which one you need depends if the iPhone has Lightning or USB connector...

You have a Samsung phone? Are you using the stock Samsung messages app, or something else? Do you have the APN setup correctly and enabled? Because a working APN is required to send MMS.

I'll give another vote for LINUX. (y) I've not had a Windows system since Vista back in 2008. For a while now I've been using MX Linux on a Macbook Air, after Apple stopped supporting it with updates. I'm using the KDE Plasma desktop, and very happy with it.
