Hello all, sorry if this is a silly question, but the software that came with my HTC Incredible doesn't run on my Macbookpro....what should I do?

Hi Everyone, this is such a dumb question, but I got my android Incredible two days ago, and I SERIOUSLY can't figure out how to turn it off?!?! I try to hit the top left hand button (which makes the screen go black) but I will still recieve calls, etceterca. Help! Thanks!
