Help Wrong software came with android!

sorry if this is a silly question, but the software that came with my HTC Incredible doesn't run on my Macbookpro....what should I do?

Do you mean the Verizon Media Manager crapware that it tries to install on the PC when you connect the phone via USB? Hardly anyone actually wants that stuff anyway. Here's how to stop it from trying to install it:

Dial ##7764726
Hit Call
Type Password 000000 (that's 6 zeros)
Hit Feature Settings
Choose CD ROM
Click Disable
Hit menu, commit modifications (it will say no item changed)

Apologies if you actually meant something else, but this is the only thing I can think of since you said it "came with" the phone. HTCSync has to be downloaded from the HTC website so I figure it's not that.

You don't need it, throw it in the trash. Or if eco friendly use as a frisbee.

Lol. Never heard of a CD. Must be crapware in addition to the crapware preloaded on the phone.

Yup...I just pulled my cd out of the box. It says right on front "provides streamlined access to your Wallet for Verizon and it's partners." (ok, I'm paraphrasing slightly).

+1 for what everyone says. You don't need or want that software.
