Option 1 Try factory reset may undo changes made from china cause I think most androids default language is English. Option 2 I'm sure u could go into settings and scroll down to account and add google account and associate ur phone with google thus return now can be associated with google...

I hope this helps In settings scroll down to accounts click google accounts n choose what you want to allow google to sync. That will give u more of an idea what would happen with out google u will start to see as ur phone needs google services it will start passing errors n shutdowns maybe...
