    Gingerbread 2.3.4 for the Galaxy S?

    Correction: Android 2.2.1 available on KIES

    When I plugged in my phone just before I went to work, I saw that there was a new firmware update for Galaxy S. So it must be Gingerbread (I have already Froyo) and i'm going to install right away when i come home! EDIT: Sorry, read the comments below... It's not Gingerbread but 2.2.1

    Root Updated Samsung to Froyo through KIES!!!

    And everything works perfectly! Ok i had to do a factory reset after the update (after backing up my contacts), but now it works faster, is more beautiful and of course Flash player is installed. A lot of little neat things were added as well. So i am happy and you should be too! Go update...

    Help Do we receive froyo automaticlly?

    I have a Samsung Galaxy S, will we receive the firmware update 2.2 froyo automatically or do we have to install KIES first and retrieve it through KIES? Thanks for your reply in advance. :)

    Root OMG! Froyo servicepoint upgrade only?

    On dutch forums i red that you have to go to a samsung service point to upgrade your SGS to android 2.2 froyo :eek:. Is this true or are they all wrong... because i thought it would be OTA?
