So when I press and put a bit of pressure on the sides of the screen (not the screen itself but the thin black sides), the middle part is being selected. (ie if there's an app on the middle of the home screen, it's going to be selected) Why is that?? Is my phone broken or something or is it that...

ok so im thinking of buying this at&t locked x10. my friend told me that if i "root" it, its gonna unlock the phone. is it true?? EDIT: i meant and unlock a locked x10!
