Solution: When using your phone as an access point (i.e. wifi tethering) place it on top of an ice bag or an ice pack to keep it cool and functioning properly. This also helps it to charge faster an more completely. Do not place it in a way that it could get wet.

Of course we are well past the point where people like me, who bought the Eris early, were able to get upgrades. I'm wondering how many people, besides me, are still using the Eris as their primary phone?
