How do you turn on push notifications for various apps? I love the red notification next to the applications picture- and have notifications turned on, but I still don't get the push notices like I would like.

In volume setting you only have the option of setting the volume on the following; ringtone, media, alarma, and call. Whenever I get a notification alert it is very loud it is starting to annoy my coworkers. My fix is to apply tape to the speaker to muffle it.
