samsung galaxy prevail

The phone turned on when I had a charger plugged into it, in a certain position. When I take out the charger out of the phone, it automatically shuts out. No matter how long I hold the power button for, it doesnt turn on.

when I turn on the power it starts off saying Samsung galaxy previel then the boost mobile sign and music then my screen will then say "Samsung" in white letters and that's all it does and remain to do help....

I have extra batteries for my Prevail. I am looking for a way to charge them when on the road. I need to charge them outside the phone. I did find chargers that plug in to a ac wall socket to charge the phone. But I need to do it though a USB power port so I can charge them when driving on...
