Help 02 - Connected but no data.

update...
called in at my local O2 shop and they gave me a new sim card advising it would take 24/48 hours for my account to be moved to the new card.

1 hour later my new sim is working. Sat on the prom accessing web via 3G

Came home, connects to 3G no throughput

Just been out for a drive, 3G works 5 - 10 minutes away from my house, but not at home or in between !
I Will try a few other areas, may be my 'cell' is having issues.

When I had a working connection I checked the 'testing' menu and noted the LAC & CID, they are different from the one at home.
(not sure if this means anything as I don't know the area a cell covers)

Is there anyway to find out what cells are in my area ?

When it fails the testing menu shows:

Ping ipAddr: Fail: IP addr not reachable
Ping Hostname(www.google.com):Fail: Host unreachable
HTTP Client test: Fail: IOException

Anyone know what the IOException is about ?

Albert, Have you tried Signal Radar? It's not perfect but it might help.

Thanks for those o2 Postpay settings Dunbad - was having trouble with MMS on my Desire and had to manually input a couple of entries, despite it working before, and me not having changed anything!
