"All of our phones have something called a Sales Item number printed on the label on the back of your phone, just next to the unique serial number (IMEI). This Sales Item number should consist of 4 digits, a dash and then 4 digits more. there could also be a .X in the end but that is insignificant for this purpose."

Hmmm, can I ask you to post what carrier you are on and what location you are in/location phone purchased if different.

Doesn't help you out but might help discover if others have received an update with same setup or not.

i debranded a while ago when it was first done - where you downloaded the FW and renamed the files to what come off your phone

Then repaired the phone....debranded!

I know there is another way...but will look later as going out in few mins

I think if you look for the number that you change to get the 2.1fw will tell ya
