Help 1 hour idle and drains 4% of battery?

My phone has just been sitting on my desk locked for an hour now, I fully charged it and went to check and it says 96% already.
Is this because my wifi signal is weak and it keeps looking for one?

That's really not too bad. Battery usage on standby depends on what your phone is doing. If you're not going to use it for an hour or two, why not turn the WiFi off? Get Quick Settings; out lets you quickly change important power-using settings.

Not if you get DCSwitch+ too . Its a widget that lets you turn 3G on and off with a touch. I keep it shut off until I need it.
