Root 1 Incredible rooted.. don't get too excited yet

You guys should chill out and wait for a safer, stable root. Even if you root right now there aren't many advantages currently. Wait until custom roms, kernels, apps are made and/or ported

goto TOP

Run the batch file... once you manage to reboot enough times to get the correct response then use CTRL-C to exit the batch file... follow the rest of the instructions.. piece of cake!

I was messing around with pressing buttons during recovery mode when I got it to work.

No you should get the other error message.. then press ctrl-c to exit the loop

yes there are screen shots in another post... but im having the same issues... i removed cityid.. but after reboot I cannot su in shell.

Hopefully they get all the kinks worked out and find an easier way to do this.

here's how the guys over at xda got a permanent root:

Unfortunately, there isn't much at this time that you can accomplish with the perma-root.

The removal of city id is probably the best part of the whole thing so far, and you an always chicken out and return to normal after you root without the above method.
