1.Click on your itunes.
2.Plug up your iphone.
3.Click on administrator's on the left side.(Under Devices)
4.Click on info at the top.
5.(This is the most important step) scroll all the way down to the bottom until you see advanced, make sure ALL BOXES are NOT checked off. (clear, empty)If contacts is check off In advanced you WILL lose everything.
Again all boxes need to be CLEAR.
6.Click on sync contacts.
7.Click on the drop box and select (click) Google contacts.
8. Enter your Google Gmail info.
9. Click apply on the bottom right.
10.Smile you're done...
